‘Madam Secretary’ season 2 spoilers: Prepare for further tension in Saudi Arabia
Are you going to get an opportunity to see a little bit of romance on the Valentine’s Day episode of “Madam Secretary“? While in theory this may feel like a great idea, that is apparently not what CBS has decided to tease in their first scoop about February 14’s “Left of the Boom.”
The synopsis below gives you a little more of a sense as to the latest mission that Elizabeth McCord ends up taking on, and it certainly seems like it is one that could stretch her so think that she may not have time for holidays at all. (Granted, we don’t know how closely the show’s sticking to real-time; most of this Valentine’s Day talk is probably just in our own head.) We’ll let the synopsis below speak for itself when it comes to laying out the details:
“While Elizabeth oversees a mission to track down the culprits behind a uranium heist in Eastern Europe, she also contends with highly sensitive issues in Saudi Arabia, including the apprehension of two American teenage girls who intended to join a terrorist group, that threatens to dismantle an important arms deal.”
If we had to look at this episode in terms of examining its themes, we would say that the show is trying to touch on the notion of young people joining terrorist groups via recruiting videos and underground messages. Also, there is almost always tension surrounding the United States and the Middle East, so none of these ideas should come as a surprise.
