’24: Legacy’: ‘The Walking Dead’ actor set to star in Fox’s new reboot
Do we now have the new Jack Bauer at the center of “24: Legacy“? Based on some of the latest casting information that is out there, it certainly appears to be so.
Sources confirm that Corey Hawkins, who has landed roles recently on “The Walking Dead” (as Heath) and in “Straight Outta Compton,” is going to play the main role at the center of “24: Legacy” in Eric Carter. He is a former soldier who finds himself in a world of trouble when some of his past comes back to the present. There are sure to be similarities between him and Jack Bauer, if for no other reason than that we don’t see the series wanting to change its tone too much. It has always been action-packed to a certain degree, and we definitely do not imagine that this is going to change too much.
For the time being, though, we don’t want to get too excited about the prospects of this show happening. For the time being, it is only a pilot, and it may take a long time before we end up getting to a point where it is picked up to series. Given the results that came in for the “X-Files” revival on Fox, we do imagine that the series is going to generate good ratings for at least an episode or two. If it proves to be worth the hype, than it is possible that there are some viewers who could stick around in the long-term.
We’re going to have some more news on “24” as time passes, so be on the lookout.
