‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: Neal McDonough stops by as Damien Darhk! (photo)

We are just starting to dive into everything that “Legends of Tomorrow” is going to be offering as a series this season, and one of the things that we are the most excited about is seeing how other characters from the DC universe on The CW are going to be implemented. This includes none other than Damien Darhk himself!

The photo above is your first look at Neal McDonough on this show in the role of his famed villain. Just in case you’re wondering how Darhk was around potentially in the past with Vandal Savage, the easiest answer to that is that he is immortal, which is why there was such a lengthy rivalry between him and Ra’s al Ghul. We’re still surprised that the latter name has not been said more this season, though to be fair we do know that Matt Nable is going to be coming aboard the show for a guest spot of his own later in the season.

What will be useful from seeing Darhk in this position is finding out a little bit more about what makes the man tick, and also why he has chosen to go down the path that he is. Also, who knows? Maybe there is something that he gets from working with Vandal that he is able to use on his own later.

Ultimately, there is some time for McDonough to make this appearance; after all, he is going to be off of “Arrow” at least for a little bit after giving Oliver a break.
