‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Are there ties to Felicity, the Calculator?

While there were rumors for a while that Damien Darhk was going to be Felicity Smoak’s father on “Arrow,” those have turned out to be unture. In there place comes a whole new rumor, one suggesting that Felicity’s real dad could be a mystery man known as the Calculator, who you are going to see a little bit later this season.

Is that true? For the time being, executive producer Wendy Mericle is not saying, though she did tease to Entertainment Weekly that there is some sort of connection that exists at the moment between Emily Bett Rickards’ character and this mystery man:

“Definitely tune in … We are very excited about this character. He does have a connection to Felicity. We’re just really thrilled. Tom Amandes has been amazing in the role and is bringing a lot of kindness and a lot of malice to this character.”

At the moment, “Arrow” is somewhat of an open door in the villain department thanks to some comments from Damien Darhk at the end of this past episode. Apparently he is going to be away for a few weeks so that the Green Arrow can spend some time with his loved ones; then, he is going to come bit and hit him with the sort of force that he has not seen just yet. Do you really think that Oliver will be able to handle sitting idly by? Probably not, but he may not have a choice for a little while. Darhk could be gone, and in turn this could allow other people like the Calculator to stop in for a larger part.
