‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: First (live-action) look at Megalyn E.K. as Vixen!

While “Arrow” season 4 may not be seeing John Constantine at any point the rest of this season, the CW show has figured out already a way to bring another familiar face to the show for a one-off appearance: Megalyn E.K. as Vixen. The star of the CW Seed animated series is bringing her character to life for the fifteenth episode of the season (if you haven’t heard already), and you can see the first photo of her below!

The bad news is that the CW – DC universe’s fascination with faux-leather continues. The good news? We still feel like the character looks pretty great, and her abilities (using the strength / abilities of many animals to her advantage) could prove rather useful to Oliver Queen and the rest of the team. We’re always going to be thrilled to have more female heroes on the show, especially ones that already have a rich backstory.

Is it possible that someday there could be a proper “Vixen” spin-off? It may sound crazy to have four shows in the same universe on the same network, but remember that NBC doing that already with all of their shows produced by Dick Wolf, and some out there are hoping that “Supergirl” ends up becoming canon in its own right. Ultimately, anything is possible, and this episode would be a great way to see how people start to react to this character.

Obviously, we imagine we’re going to have many more opportunities to talk about Vixen, given that at present, her appearance on the show is still more than a month away.
