Ryan Fitzpatrick, Prince Amukamara reenact ‘Pretty Little Liars’ scene on ‘The Tonight Show’
This has to qualify for one of the strangest “Pretty Little Liars”-related articles we’ve written in some time, but it’s also one of the funniest.
On Wednesday night’s new episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the host decided to give at least one person what they wanted: A scene bringing together the world of the Freeform drama (which has just returned with new episodes) and also the NFL. Given that neither team in New York City has a whole lot going on at the moment, he was also able to recruit a couple of players.
Specifically, the video below featured Ryan Fitzpatrick of the New York Jets playing the part of Spencer Hastings, while Prince Amukamara of the New York Giants plays Alison DiLaurentis. Strangely, Fallon and his producers gave them a flashback scene from the very first season to perform, which is a little bit odd since the show is now halfway through its sixth season and the characters are not even in high school anymore. At the end of the clip, of course Fallon decides to get in on the fun a little bit.
As for whether or not Fitzpatrick or Amukamara have any sort of career in acting once their time in the NFL is over, let’s just say not to count on that. They may be better off doing just about anything else; still, this is pretty funny, and we give the two guys major props for being able to poke fun at their tough-guy image a little bit for the sake of some laughs.
The next new episode of “Pretty Little Liars” will air Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
