‘Arrow’ season 4, episode 11 preview: What’s next for Oliver, Felicity in ‘AWOL’

OliverTonight’s “Arrow” episode probably put many people out there through hell and back, especially if you are a fan of Oliver and Felicity. The good news for now is that it looks like Felicity is making it through alive, but there are plenty of other complications that the two are going to have to tackle.

So why didn’t The CW mention her name in the official synopsis for “AWOL” next week, but you can still assume that she is going to have a very big, very personal role in trying to cope with everything that has happened. Instead, it spends most of its time talking more about Diggle and Andy, whose relationship may end up changing somewhat thanks to some new circumstances that are presented in front of them:

“Diggle (David Ramsey) must learn to trust his brother Andy (guest star Eugene Byrd) when an enemy of their wartime past, an agent of the criminal organization Shadowspire, pays a visit to Star City. However, Diggle learns more than he bargained for about their shared time at war. Meanwhile, Oliver (Stephen Amell) has to learn a whole new way of life.”

It’s a little surprising (and nice) that “Arrow” is giving you such a big Diggle story early on in the second part of the season, mostly because David Ramsey always brings it. Also, Andy is a loose end that needs to be tied up at some point in the future, so why not have it be the present? If there is a way to turn things around, we imagine that Andy could become quite an ally to have given his history with Damien Darhk.
