‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: ‘Blood & Oil’ alum checks in for major recurring role

Chicago Fire -With “Blood & Oil” now over, Miranda Rae Mayo is clearly not out of work for a long time.

According to a new report coming in from Deadline, the actress is set to join “Chicago Fire” for a significant season 4 role that may become much more in the future, depending of course on how the part is received and how she fits into the story. She is going to play the role of Stella Kidd, a tough, bold firefighter who will be joining Dawson as the female members of Firehouse 51. There may not be too many firehouses out there to feature two women on the field, but the show reportedly drew inspiration from some that do for this part. This role could lead to Mayo becoming a series regular for the fifth season, which has already been renewed.

There are going to be plenty of stories still to come this season, and during them you can expect to see quite a bit of major plotlines revolving around some other news characters, including the likes of Jimmy and Chili. These two parts have filled a hole in the series, and have ultimately rounded out the firehouse in a big way. This show does have a tendency to constantly bring in new parts, mostly because of the fact that this stuff happens in real life.

New episodes are going to air starting on Tuesday nights at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. Stay tuned, as we’ll bring you some other news as they come in the future.
