‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: NeNe Leakes talks past drama with Cynthia Bailey

Sunday night means more than just the return of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta“; it’s also the big return of NeNe Leakes to the show! She’s arguably one of the franchise’s most-famous stars, and so far through this season it was clear that something was missing without her. Part of that could just be that there wasn’t much entertainment from many of the other storylines; the fighting between Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks was coming to a close, Kim Fields is largely drama-free, and Kenya Moore’s story has little to do with some of the other Housewives.

With NeNe, let’s just say that she is even bringing some fun when it comes to the subject of whether or not she has blocked Cynthia Bailey on Twitter. Cynthia confronts her about it, and it leads to a funny moment between the two along with a great NeNe confessional. (Her hair is certainly longer than it is in the photo above!)

For the most part, this preview is still more of a reintroduction to NeNe than it is anything else, so there are really only a few takeaways that we can offer up after watching this: She’s still got some of the same knack for being in front of the camera, she’s ready to stir some things up, and we’re always going to hear exactly what is on her mind.

As long as you just aren’t fond of NeNe, we don’t see how her return is anything other than a net positive for the show. We’ll have more of this coming courtesy of our review on Sunday.
