‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 6, episode 12 preview: New sneak peek featuring Carol Burnett

Hawaii -Friday night’s new episode of “Hawaii Five-0” looks like it is certainly going to have its fun moments, largely because of some of the guest stars who are going to stop by.

First and foremost, we have to talk about Carol Burnett. She is one of those living legends that almost any show would be happy to have, but she has been kind enough to turn up on this show many times as McGarrett’s Aunt Deb. The sneak peek below also features Taryn Manning as Mary, as Deb looks to fulfill a certain bucket list item that was left behind for her: Driving a police car. As you would expect, the results here are rather fun and make Steve extremely uncomfortable in the process. Would we have it any other way? Probably not.

At some point during the episode, there will of course be a few more serious moments, particular when the Five-0 team works on a case that will have some ties all the way back to World War II. The show has done a great job over the years of honoring the history of Hawaii, and will likely continue to do so the rest of its run. Think of the dichotomy between these two stories as a way that the show is both having a great time, while also showing that they can balance something a little bit more serious and heartfelt. Of course, given that we’re specifically dealing with Japanese WWII bombs left somewhere on the island, there will probably be a heavy action component as well.
