Is ‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 27 new tonight on Disney Channel? New Mark Cuban photo

At this point last week, many of you were out there getting ready for the first “Girl Meets World” episode of 2016 in “Girl Meets STEM.” Unfortunately, you are just going to have to wait for one more week in order to see the second.

The Disney Channel is choosing to not air a new episode of the series on Friday night, and we’re not entirely sure the reasoning for it. Unfortunately, we do not necessarily cover a wide range of shows airing on the network, so understanding their scheduling decisions is a little bit beyond our scope of knowledge.

However, what we do know is that when the show returns in one week’s time, it will be doing so with an episode entitled “Girl Meets Money” that will be bringing in both a Maverick and a Shark in the form of Mark Cuban. It’s a nice bit of synergy, given that “Shark Tank” and “Girl Meets World” are both owned by the same parent company in Disney. Also, it’s a little bit of fun for the show featuring a guest star that most adults watching the show will remember. Who knows? Maybe Cuban was a fan of the original “Boy Meets World” back in the day.

If you have missed some of the previous reports on this particular episode, you are also going to see the return of Farkle’s father Minkus, and a plotline that is going to revolve around what happens when he starts to run into some financial trouble.
