‘The Walking Dead’ season 6B art: Andrew Lincoln and many frames

Poster -

The wait for “The Walking Dead” is getting shorter by the day! Specifically, we are writing this precisely one month before the uber-hit is returning to AMC with new episodes, and the poster above makes it abundantly clear what the main focus will be: Making it clear just what lies beyond the Alexandria limits. “A larger world” is the message, and of course we’ve got room for Andrew Lincoln and his scruff on here.

The best way to think of season 6B is a process. We’re starting things off here with a focus on Rick Grimes trying to fend off walkers within Alexandria’s walls, and from there we could be seeing a wide array of things: The Hilltop Colony is looking more and more like a possibility, and Negan and his gang are already tearing through town. It’s too bad that he’s probably not stopping by town until the season 6 finale, since the show wants to give you something to look forward to.

Remember, “a larger world” does not mean “a better world” for these characters. When has it? Pretty much never is the only answer we can offer up for that. More often than not, it just means that we’re being propelled down a path where other terrible things are going to happen. Remember, Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be a series regular in season 7 … and a character is probably going to get killed off before then.
