‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 12 preview: Will Voight’s history come back to haunt him?

If there is one thing that we have seen on “Chicago PD” over the years, it is that Voight is not your traditional TV cop. Namely, he’s got a network of people around him who can help him at times preserve justice, even if they have not always done things the right things themselves.

This brings us back to the story of Eddie Little, who was brought up in a big way at the end of Wednesday’s episode. He has been brought in as a CI in order to stop a series of drug-related crimes, but as the promo below ponders, there could be an issue: What if Voight dedicates his entire Intelligence team to the cause, only to then have it blow up in his face? Can he handle all of that blood being on his hands?

The promo focuses mostly on Voight, but the synopsis below also makes it clear that for Burgess and Ruzek and also Platt and Mouch, there are some big events coming up that will further along their relationships or even help them in some way:

“Voight arranges for his former cellmate, Eddie Little, to be a CI in an effort to bring down a major cocaine supplier; Burgess makes a major move regarding her relationship with Ruzek; and Roman develops a plan to help fund Platt and Mouch’s wedding.”

Let’s just hope that we get at least one “Chicago PD” wedding at the end of the season. We’ve seen time and time again many couples get close to the altar on this show, but not really make it all the way down with only a few exceptions.
