‘American Horror Story’ season 6 debate: Should Lady Gaga return?

Tonight marks the season finale of “American Horror Story: Hotel,” but for the sake of this article, we’re going to be looking specifically at a question that has been on the minds of many over the past several weeks: Is this going to be the final episode for Lady Gaga with the franchise?

Obviously, this is a role that has brought her all sorts of attention, and a Golden Globe award to go along with that. It’s marked a brave new direction in her career, and it could open up quite a few other possibilities for her to go along with it. As for whether or not that includes another season with Ryan Murphy, that remains to be seen.

What we know for now is this: Murphy has already offered her a spot on the next season, and it will likely come down to her schedule. She’s working on more music the rest of this year, and if she wants to do touring or a press tour in the future, it’ll be hard to also do the show full-time. Even if she’s not a regular, it is still possible that she will do a small arc. Many other people have done that, including Lily Rabe and Gabourey Sidibe. Obviously FX will want her for star power, and what we’d like to learn is if she could play someone who is the total opposite of the Countess.

We figure we’ll learn if Gaga is on board this fall; personally, we’d like to see a ten-episode season 6 for many reasons, whether it be easier scheduling or telling a story that doesn’t go off the rails as much. Let us know in the poll below to let us know if you want to see her back!
