Eva Longoria has been an executive producer on “Devious Maids” for several years now, but it appears that she is ready to try something a little bit different on the Lifetime hit. After all, she’s set to guest star!
As first reported by Deadline, Longoria (who of course starred on another popular Marc Cherry series in “Desperate Housewives” for many years before this gig) is going to make what seems to be a one-off appearance in the upcoming fourth-season premiere. This may be a way for her to also expand her own portfolio after making a series of other memorable appearances on “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and also her current series in NBC’s “Telenovela.”
One other interesting tidbit here is that James Denton, who also appeared on “Desperate Housewives,” is going to have a chance to shine on the series, as well. It says quite a bit that we are getting to see so many different stars of that show make the jump over to “Devious Maids,” mostly that they enjoyed working together and are happy to do so again, even if it is for just a short period of time.
While there is not too much in the way of information out there about the new season just yet, our presumption is that it is going to premiere at some point in the summer / late spring. With that in mind, it should only be a matter of time before we have a wide array of other things to report all about it.
