‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 12 preview: Moving past Charlotte DiLaurentis shocker

PLL -

The winter premiere of “Pretty Little Liars” wasted almost no time unlocking its next mystery … and also driving fans somewhat up a wall. Did we really spend all this time getting to learn that Charlotte DiLaurentis was “A,” only to have her die the moment that she was finally released from prison? It’s a crazy twist, but at the same time this is a crazy show. It’s really not that far out of the realm of possibility that something like her falling to her death could happen so quickly.

It’s interesting given what happened in the premiere that the second episode is entitled “Charlotte’s Web,” but here we are with a new mystery and potentially a new villain on the loose that the Liars are going to have to make themselves more than aware of. They have the capacity to cause all sorts of trouble, and unfortunately also all sorts of harm. The synopsis below offers up a few teases:

“As the girls are forced to stay in Rosewood, questions about the new mystery surface. A restless Aria starts to look suspicious as she heads back to Boston a little too quickly. But could Aria really be the one behind this? As Spencer, Emily and Hanna find themselves back in familiar territory, they aren’t happy with going about solving this puzzle “the old way.”

“Meanwhile, Emily continues to lie about her life in California and Alison keeps a close eye on her friends.”

Our hope now is mostly that we get some new twists on the classic “Pretty Little Liars” mystery, and not that we’re spending most of our time getting tied up in the all-too-familiar drama of a death that the police want to pin on one of the Liars.
