‘Empire’ season 2: Are Taraji P. Henson, Terence Howard, cast back at work?
Sunday night was clearly a big night for “Empire” at the Golden Globes, given the fact that Taraji P. Henson was a big winner in the category of Actress in a Drama Series. From there, she proceeded to hand out cookies to people in attendance and tried to keep the music from cutting her off during the speech. In other words, pretty much entertainment gold.
What’s also worth noting right now is that the show is also now back at work on the second half of season 2! The show’s writers room confirmed this glorious news in a post on Twitter, reminding everyone that the series will be back on Wednesday, March 30.
Going into the second half, what is interesting to us mostly here is that we have a chance to see many of the Lyon family united with a singular mission: Trying to find a way to get the company back. Mimi effectively set Lucious up in so many ways, and he saw nothing but dollar signs in their collaboration and never saw this particular outcome coming. It made for great drama for us, but yet another roadblock for him after a series of them over the past year and a half.
As for when Fox should start offering up some further details on season 2, it may not be some time. What’s the rush? Fox will probably hold off until the start of March before the start to release too much; if the second half of the season is starting to film now, there’s not even any new footage to show right now.
