‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and a deadly song

Supernatural -

What happens when songs attack? Strange as it may sound, this seems to be the premise for the upcoming January 27 episode of “Supernatural.” This is a chance to see one of the stranger cases that has surfaced on the show, but also one that could create some fun moments? Also, does anyone else get a “Sherlock: The Abominable Bride” vibe from it? (Let’s hope that this ends up giving us a slightly different ending.)

Before we go any further, let’s start off this article by sharing the official synopsis of the episode courtesy of The CW:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a case where people are suffering violent deaths after hearing a mysterious song.”

While we do miss the days of longer network synopses for this show, we’re going to take whatever the network gives us in this instance and be happy about it. We are, after all, rather grateful to be getting something, and we know that there are some exciting times coming up on this episode and the rest of the season. This just serves as more evidence that at least for some of the winter portion of season 11, the writers aren’t sweating trying to bring you as much as they possibly can of the Amara story. There will be plenty of time to get to that over the course of the entire spring … provided of course that the show doesn’t throw some curveball in and get rid of the character right away on January 20.
