‘Chicago Fire’ and Chicago Med’ crossover with Herrmann’s fate, a decent proposal revealed

Big things happen when you cross over two shows, especially when those two shows are none other than “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago Med.” We got no better evidence of that than what the two series brought to the table on NBC for the first two parts of an event that will span into “Chicago PD” tomorrow.

We don’t want to spend too much time here focusing on Evil Doctor (as we will call him), mostly because much of the big stuff there is awaiting Voight in part 3 as he attempts to cope with the notion that this man may have had something to do with his wife’s death. Let’s for now focus more on the events that really could matter on the aforementioned two shows in the week ahead.

Mouch is engaged! – Platt said yes! Or, we should say that he said yes after his first proposal didn’t go according to plan, and she eventually realized that it would be wrong to make him feel like that was inadequate. This marks another engaged couple in this franchise; let’s just hope this goes better than some of the other engagements we’ve seen…

Severide and April kissed! – Are we really going back down this road? It’s hard to say, but it didn’t really end well as she did not want or apparently need any advice from him. Maybe this is just something that was meant to never turn into much of anything, but it would’ve been hard anyway when you consider that these cross-show romances also don’t go well. Remember Severide and Lindsay had a thing for a little while?

Herrmann will make it – Did you really expect anything else? The “Chicago” franchise is not going to lose its Papa Bear anytime soon. Could you imagine the tears if they did something to him?
