‘Criminal Minds’ season 11 spoilers: First look at upcoming ‘Drive’
While many shows are coming back onto CBS with their winter premieres this week, let’s hope that you are the patient type if you are interested in some more “Criminal Minds.” The crime procedural is not going to be returning with new episodes until January 13, so to help make the wait for “Entropy” all the easier, we are here with the first details for the upcoming “Drive.”
Unfortunately, the bad news is that the network is continuing to be somewhat coy when it comes to dishing out details on this episode. All we’ve got, at least for now, is the attached synopsis:
“When bodies are discovered in public places throughout Boston, the BAU investigates whether a taxi or ride-share service the victims used before their deaths could lead the team to the UnSub.”
Since Aisha Tyler is still listed as being a part of the recurring cast, we hope that this is evidence that she’s still around! We’ve loved the amount of the Tara Lewis character we’ve gotten to see this season, especially since it was more than we originally expected.
As for whether this episode will lead to many others coming up throughout February, we’re feeling confident that the answer there is “yes.” February is a big time for TV programming, and with “Survivor” also starting back in the month we feel like the show is going to make it a top priority to give us some great stories during that time. Let’s just hope that along the way, we actually get some more details about the characters.

Are you joking? Speak for yourself on that Tara stuff. She’s had more airtime than Hotch, JJ and Reid. As far as I’m concerned, they’re all recurring characters if Tara’s presence is the measure. She’s been in more episodes than both Reid and JJ; and had more screen time than Hotch in the first 6 episodes. Too much of a possibly good thing has been terrible for CM’s ratings. They’ve backed off on her some in the latter episodes and the ratings have recovered a little for the last episode. But her prominence has made CM’s same-day viewing no longer a necessity. Fans have chosen to tune into Empire, Modern Family and Law & Order SVU, if we’re not going to see the favorites we’ve invested in for 11 seasons. Nobody’s waiting with baited breath to see endless Tara and disappearing Hotch and Reid. I wouldn’t be disappointed if Tara disappeared altogether.

I’m with you. It’s turned into the Tara hour and, oh yeah, some other people. I realize MGG had prior engagements, but what about the other regulars? The writers wrote for her and just threw some breadcrumbs to the major members of the BAU. I thought Tara/Aisha was just supposed to be a supporting member of the team. She wasn’t even supposed to carry a gun, yet she and JJ go after the unsub? I am not part of the crew the writer of the article obviously belongs to. Let Tara go to greener pastures with that so-called boyfriend of hers. Bring back Reid, Hotch, Rossi, Morgan, JJ, and Garcia. We don’t need another profiler.
