‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5: Colin O’Donoghue’s Hook takes center stage in fiery new poster
ABC cannot stop biting the apple when it comes to “Once Upon a Time” promotional posters. We’ve seen a wide array of them at this point, and for the most part all of them follow the same familiar theme: Showing a character above the signature fruit. We saw many of these before early seasons of the show, we saw one for the Dark Swan, and we even saw a frozen apple back when the series was doing that whole arc with Anna and Elsa.
Now, the latest poster has been released for the second half of season 5 (per The Hollywood Reporter), and the apple remains front and center alongside someone who hasn’t received this sort of press before: Captain Hook. Colin O’Donoghue’s character was the center of the main event in the winter finale, as the character died in a sacrificial move and was presumably sent onward to the Underworld. From there, Emma Swan vowed to bring him back.
Given that the entire second half of the season is all about a quest to find him, it does make some sense to put Hook on the poster; yet, at the same exact time we know that there are some out there who are not going to be that happy about since he’s one of the show’s most polarizing characters. The trend here seems to be that almost everyone has a strong opinion about this one way or another.
The second half of this particular season is going to return starting on Sunday, March 6, and while you wait, why don’t you go over here and read some of our other coverage on the show?

Hook is a brilliant character. And its rightfully he is on the poster. Since he died and they going to Underworld for him.
Another thing – most ppl seems to purposely make him polarizing – through shipping Emma with someone else then him (which means ignoring the actual show and narrative) and nitpick on how their own faves are not getting screen time blah blah. Some ppl nitpick to purposely to be ignorant and act like, hey lets lash out so everyone knows he is hated.
Hook is one the most popular characters generally.
