‘Vikings’ season 4 trailer is here, and it’s all sorts of awesome

There’s a reason why “Vikings” was named as one of our favorite shows of 2016 at CarterMatt — it’s incredible stuff. You’ve got great acting, relentless acting, and emotional family dynamics that create a series so strong, it’s amazing more people are not singing its praises.

Will that change during or after season 4? That remains to be seen, but the newly-released trailer below (first posted by TVLine) will help to cure the Monday (or post-holiday blues). The upcoming episodes are going to deal with Ragnar trying to cope with betrayal as we get more of a sense of what happens in the aftermath of Paris. Let’s just say that the bloodshed is far from over. As a matter of fact, it may be more intense than it has ever been.

It’d be a shame to give everything away right now before you watch the trailer, so check that out and let us know what you think in the comments! The show is returning to History on Thursday, February 18 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, which means that there is plenty of time still to catch up if you are behind.

For the record, we also have to say that we love the timeslot for the show, mostly because there’s really not too much it has to be concerned about when it comes to a competing audience. While we know that “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Elementary” both are going to air Thursday nights, neither show shares a similar audience.
