‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Kim Rhodes returning as Jody Mills!

Great news for fans of Jody Mills: Her return to “Supernatural” will be coming sooner than you’d think.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Kim Rhodes is coming back as one of our favorite Sheriffs for the upcoming 12th episode entitled “Don’t You Forget About Me.” She’s a woman who always seems to have something in mind for Sam and Dean Winchester, and therefore this relationship does tend to lead to some great stories.

While the tease below from showrunner Jeremy Carver may not be particularly in-depth, it still tells you most of what you need to know:

“Sheriff Mills, who’s taken in Claire and Alex, has a case fall a bit too close to home.”

In regards to Claire and Alex, we’re glad to see that the show is picking up following some of the last major Jody stories. She’s someone who does not typically show up more than once or twice a season, and we understand that this can at times make it a little bit of a deep pull for fans to remember everything that happened last. Still, we like to think that it is worthwhile when they do since she brings a different energy into the Winchesters’ life.

Now that we’ve said this, let’s not hope the producers are secretly planning to give her a larger story a la Charlie only to then kill her off. That still remains one of our most frustrating character deaths in the history of the show, even more so when they took out our beloved Kevin.
