‘The Walking Dead’ season 6 spoilers: Some hard times (and sad moments) coming soon

twdOut of all the shows that are going to be premiering in 2016, it feels pretty clear that the second half of “The Walking Dead” season 6 is topping the list when it comes to anticipation. The fact that this is television’s highest-rated show is justification enough for the hype, but then add to this the presence of someone like Negan. He is one of the most-feared villains out there from the comic-book world, and you have to imagine that he is going to be doing almost everything that he can to enforce his power on Rick and company … even from the periphery. The one thing that could make the next eight episodes tough is the notion that Jeffrey Dean Morgan may not appear until the final one.

Luckily, showrunner Scott M. Gimple seems to think that there will be plenty of other villains to come, and some of them could even be the characters we’ve come to love. Here is what he had to say on that subject in a new interview with TV Guide:

“Some of the scariest people in the back half of the season are our people … These characters are at their strongest right now, but the problem is, the threats of the world are also at their strongest. We’ll see these immovable objects meet.”

Gimple also suggested that there are going to be some “crying and screaming at the TV set” during the final eight episodes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean people are going to die, does it? Our guard is up and then some after Glenn-gate.
