Lazarus One is a controversial topic in the “Scandal” world, and it / B613 are the organizations that never seem to go away. In some ways, we consider Rowan to be Lazarus himself, given his frequent ability to come right back after knocking on death’s door. It doesn’t quite matter what you do to the man, since he finds a way to slither out of it and be a force to be reckoned with once more.
So while it may seem in some ways like the show has shifted away from Lazarus One, Guillermo Diaz teases to TV Guide that one way or another, we may end up in a situation where Jake and Rowan get back into it:
“I don’t think it’s truly going to be dead and done. And now Jake and Rowan are back together … They’ll look more into it, I’m sure. … This is something that’s probably going to rear its head again.”
Now do we really want it to? That is a question that is a little bit more complicated to answer for so many reasons, starting with the notion that we do really like some of these characters. However, at the same exact time we feel like we’ve spun our wheels almost constantly with Rowan, Jake, and many of their operations, and we’d like to see them go down a completely different road where ne things can be explored. It’s similar to how we feel about the show’s love triangle at the moment. There is probably more out there that we can touch on and explore.
