‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 12 video: All about palindromes

NCISPalindromes are the sort of thing that is of high interest to people while in school, but at the same time, when was the last time you actually saw someone talking about them in real life? We imagine that the answer to that is “quite a long time ago.”

The sneak peek for Monday night’s new “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode below is really all about this simple thing, and some of the sequences and ways that they can exist. It all starts with Sam looking over a school project from his daughter, and eventually everyone gets involved in the fun. Let’s just say that we learn way more about palindromes during this video than we ever expected to from a crime procedural … and we’re certainly not upset about it.

The thing we like about the way that this sneak peek is cut is that it is at least slightly different from the standard one for any CBS crime procedural: You see characters talk about something silly / fun for a few minutes, and then they are interrupted by something serious. Typically, a character runs in to tell them news about an upcoming mission. While we presume that this is still happening as the characters all walk out of the room, it is not something that is altogether prevalent in the scene. Maybe we’re just a structure-nerd for how some of these are constructed.

If you’re looking for something more from Monday’s winter premiere, come back later this weekend! We’ll have more great stuff from the episode to talk about.
