Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution: Start time; Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Austin Mahone, more to appear
We’ve been doing a tour-of-sorts of some of network TV’s New Year’s Eve coverage over the course of the day, and this does bring us to Fox. The network has some big plans in store for their December 31 holiday, and it includes Mr. Worldwide himself. “Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution” is a relatively new tradition, but their strategy seems to be simple: Making this as fun, engaging, and interactive as possible. Fans are even getting to vote on what Pitbull will perform.
As for who is joining him on the roster for tonight, it includes Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello of Fifth Harmony, Prince Royce, Austin Mahone, R. City, and Pia Mia. This is a chance to see some industry up-and-comers for a show that should appeal to many younger viewers who don’t want to go out and brave some of the frigid temperatures that tend to be fairly common at this time of the year.
The show is taking place live in Miami from 8:00 p.m. Eastern time until 10:00, and then will come back after the local news at 11:00 for the final hour before the new year. The show is formally set to end at 12:30 a.m., thirty minutes after many in Miami are celebrating the arrival of 2016.
We’re sure we will say this a great amount over the course of the next few hours, but Happy New Year to all! We’re looking forward to providing you with more news on all things TV throughout the months ahead.
