Negan is coming soon to “The Walking Dead,” and based on the latest promo via AMC, the show really wants you to be as afraid as humanly possible for what could come along with it.
While the character himself (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is not going to be a major part of the story until we get around to the end of the season, this promo is a reminder that his shadow is going to loom very large throughout. He is arguably the most ruthless villain that the show has featured since The Governor; not only is he deadly, but he also has a charisma about him that makes other people want to do his bidding. How else would you have perfectly-capable people out there claiming things on his behalf, when they could otherwise just opt for taking them as their own?
At one point, we also see Maggie yelling for someone (is it Glenn?), and Abraham rather dressed up for an occasion. Michael Cudlitz’s character may be the person we are the most worried about at the moment, mostly because it is starting to seem that he has come full-circle with Sasha and moving forward past the trauma of his past. When you do not have the same level of pain to cling to, the time may be here for the show to start considering what its own future may be without you.
We imagine that there is going to be so much more news on “The Walking Dead” to share over the course of the weeks ahead, so be on the lookout for it!
