‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Samantha Passmore be guilty of loving Ben Higgins?

Samantha -We’re in the home stretch of our “Bachelor” spotlight series, and today, we’re profiling someone in Samantha Passmore who could be a potential player in the season to come. She’s someone who will have a story to tell, and she also has plenty of ambition to go along with it. On paper, she seems like the perfect person for Ben Higgins; we just have to see if that works out in practice.

So what makes her a contender, and what should her fans be worried about as signs that maybe she and Ben are not perfect for one another? Let’s analyze.

Age – 26. She’s right around the same age as Ben, which means there may be some compatibility there.

Occupation – Attorney. She’s still relatively new in the profession (law school takes some time), but seems to be excited about it based on what we’ve seen on social media.

Location -New Smyrna Beach, Florida. There are a good many contestants this season from the Sunshine State, but most of them are closer to the Miami area. Samantha is from a town that is closer to Orlando, and located south of Jacksonville.

Things to know – She graduated within the top 20% of her class at law school, likes a variety of different movies, and seems to hold some cards close to the vest. Her bio is shorter than many of the others we’ve seen online. You’ll find out a little more of her backstory on Monday’s episode.

Strengths – She’s obviously very smart and incredibly driven to have made it this far in her career at a young age, and she seems to be very close to her family and also very interested in finding love and moving into a new phase of her life. We can see Ben as someone who appeals very much to her.

Problem areas – At the same time, is she going to be willing to relocate if Ben wants to stay in Denver where he works? She went through all of the effort to become an attorney elsewhere, and you cannot just change that overnight. Also, we wonder if she is going to open up well enough to get an early rose.

Prediction – We do think that Samantha has a ceiling that stops around the hometown dates. She can make it very far, but we think like Becca in her first season, we’re not sure that she will be able to be vulnerable enough to secure a win.
