Going into the sixth season of “Game of Thrones,” the story of almost everyone is a mystery in one form or another. Of course, you could still say that with Bran Stark, said mystery is still on another level. We haven’t seen him in more than a season, but the presumption in that time is that he has been off honing some of his abilities, that way he can be even more valuable to the story in the present when he surfaces once more.
So how does the man behind the role describe what he is getting to do next? Well, let’s turn that over to Isaac Hempstead-Wright and some of his new comments on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:
“Previously Bran’s seen tiny glimpses of future or past but never has he been very much in control in the situation … Now we’re given looks into very important events in the past, present and future of this world and Bran is beginning to piece them together like a detective, almost as if he’s watching the show. Equally, he’s now discovering how crucial he could be in the Great War. It’s quite Inception-y.”
We just hope that by the time Bran has his biggest moment in the sun, many “Game of Thrones” fans out there are ultimately ready to see it. We’ve seen the show shift more and more in a magical direction over the past several years, and would love to see that implemented more provided it continues to feel special. If everyone possesses the capacity, then it is somewhat boring.
