‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Maegan and her mini-horse make impression on Ben Higgins

Sometimes, “The Bachelor” can be about as predictable as a sunrise and a sunset.

Back when we first spotlighted contestant Maegan Miller and learned that she had a mini-horse,  it felt fairly obvious what the show was going to do: Shamelessly throw her out into the competition with said horse, and then wait and see just how Ben Higgins and the women would react to it. We feel for her in many ways, since it was probably clear what production wanted her to do on the show the moment she mentioned that she had this as a pet.

Who knows? Maybe this was more her idea, but we cannot imagine that she thought showing up with this was a great way to earn his affection. It’s more of a gimmick. If we were her and we wanted to show off the cowgirl angle, why not go in some boots or with some other fashion accessory that shows off that sort of style?

What we’re trying to say here is that while it is possible that Maegan overcomes this and makes it through to the next phase of the competition, it’s unlikely. It’s good to stand out on the first night, but you never want to come across as too corny. Also, where does the horse go after the introduction? If she keeps the pet insider with her at all times, we cannot imagine this being a really romantic way for her to connect with Ben.
