‘Orphan Black’ season 4 spoilers: Scoop on mysterious new clone!
Just in case you somehow thought that Tatiana Maslany did not have enough clones to play across “Orphan Black” as a whole, we’ve got some further news for you all about someone new who is coming aboard for the upcoming fourth season. Her name is M.K., and she will prove herself to be a rather enigmatic addition to the group throughout the upcoming episodes this spring.
While the producers are being relatively hush-hush on some of the details, executive producer Graeme Mason did offer up the following bit of intel in a new chat with Entertainment Weekly:
“[She] comes out of the shadows and for the first time we’re meeting someone who knows more than us. Sarah is meeting a clone who has got more answers than she does, and yet she’s a slippery character.”
Fellow EP John Fawcett goes on to say that she is “very elusive. And quite highly skilled and very smart. And it is interesting as Sarah tries to interact with this character who is almost kind of like a Deep Throat kind of character. What’s very cool about it is this is a clone who has been self-aware for some time.” It’ll be a nice change-up from the other characters we’ve come to know, and we feel like for Maslany, this has to be one of the many joys that come with being a part of this show. You get to revisit old characters on a pretty regular basis, but at the same time continue to try out new people who have their own unique role in the mythology.
