Is ‘Major Crimes’ season 4, episode 19 new tonight on TNT?

Major CrimesWe imagine that you’ve enjoyed checking out the fall run of “Major Crimes” on TNT, and there may even be a certain expectation that more episodes could air throughout the rest of the holiday season and January. This is something that we’ve seen the show do in the past, as it makes a little bit of sense to try to capitalize on the lack of competition wherever you can.

However, the bad news is that this is not what is happening this year. There is no new episode of the crime drama on tonight, and there’s not another one coming until Monday, February 15. This is so far into the future that it is hard to really offer up many details. Some of them will probably be released in January when we get a little bit closer to the air date.

What we do know is that the final five episodes of the season are going to be somewhat of a longer arc, revolving mostly around a single case rather than the typical story-of-the-week format we’ve come to know from the show. One of the advantages to telling the story this way is that it could keep viewers hooked week to week, which may be important given that there will be February sweeps programming airing on other networks and this is a very competitive time to start airing new episodes. We don’t blame TNT for wanting a piece of the ratings pie, but we figure this is going to be a little bit more difficult than we imagine it being for them.
