‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Rocky Carroll directs ‘Deja Vu’

NCIS -Rocky Carroll has gotten into more of a habit as of late for directing new episodes of “NCIS.” In 2015 he helmed a pair of episodes in “Viral” and “We Build, We Fight,” and he is going to continue that tradition moving into season 13 with “Deja Vu,” the upcoming January 19 installment of the show. CBS just released the official synopsis for this hour on Monday, and you can check that out in full below:

“While investigating the murder of a seaman who was set to testify before a grand jury, the NCIS team uncovers the resurgence of an international human-trafficking ring.  Also, McGee hopes to spend the night at a colleague’s home after a storm causes massive power outages in the city.”

Of course, the burning question right away here should be who McGee ends up staying with, mostly because there is potential for entertainment gold here if we get a chance to witness a McGee sleepover. We know that much of this show is about the lives for some of these characters at work with the team, but it feels at this point like they could make things a little less rigid if they really wanted to and focus more on some other aspects of their lives. This is a way to effectively keep the show fresh, which you have to do when you are more than a decade or so into its run.

While Carroll is directing this episode, hopefully there’ll be another one moving into the second half of the season that will give his character of Vance some meaty material to sink his teeth into.
