Thursday, January 21 is certainly a day where you want to be huddled up close to the TV set. This is the premiere of DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow,” a show promising to have plenty of fun and constant entertainment, on The CW.
One thing that the promo below really seems to be focusing on more so than anything else is the entertainment that can come from the series visiting a variety of different eras. We’re going to be heading back to the 1970’s for one early episode, where you will have a chance to see Sara Lance, Ray Palmer, Martin Stein, and others in a new environment. They are working to try to uncover a way to stop Vandal Savage, who has been brought to life thanks to Malcolm Merlyn at the end of the “Arrow” crossover.
Tone-wise, the show does seem to be going in more of the direction of “The Flash” than “Arrow,” which is probably the right move in order to capture the widest possible audience. There are so many other adaptations out there that make a legitimate effort to try to make things as “dark” as humanly possible, so it is nice to just have one that goes for a little bit of a lighter, happier approach … while still allowing characters to kick butt and take names.
We imagine that this promo is going to be far from the end of us hyping up the return of this series. Stay tuned, as we’ll have some more information for you every step of the way.
