CarterMatt Awards 2015 results: Lee Pace of ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ wins Top Actor
Pretty much any time that we have done a Best Actor / Top Actor poll at CarterMatt in the past three years that we’ve been doing our “Best of” series, they have proven to be some of the most competitive ones we’ve done. There’s a lot of passion that goes into making these performances, and that is reflected in the amount of passion their supporters put into voting for them.
For this year’s category in the CarterMatt Awards, we’re looking at a winner who has been routinely shunned despite doing Emmy-caliber work over the years.
Lee Pace of “Halt and Catch Fire” is the winner of Top Actor.
As Joe MacMillan, Pace portrays a very complicated man. He’s supremely motivated and highly intelligent, but often his ambitions are overshadowed by his inability to properly communicate with people. He works tirelessly to come out ahead, but is rarely satisfied with the results on the other side. Season 2 of “Halt and Catch Fire” found Joe trying to determine if he could be happy in a committed relationship and working within a larger umbrella; however, eventually his desire to upset the apple cart and bring about a Mutiny of his own led to him reverting back more to his season 1 form. Now, he and many other of our lead characters are heading to the uncharted waters of Silicon Valley.
Of course, there were some other hard-fought campaigns in here (as there always is). Our runner-up, Sam Heughan of “Outlander,” had tremendous support and has won many polls here in the past, while our third-place finisher David Tennant (Marvel’s “Jessica Jones”) had a late push that just couldn’t get him near the top two, but had some great support from his fanbase. Heughan and Pace were the two candidates who were neck and neck throughout some of the voting; no one else was really close.

He is an amazing actor. I love Lee, more than any other Actor. My Elven king. I wish him all the best <3 I think it is only just the beginning of his success story!!!!

For me Lee Pace as Joe Macmillan is outstanding acting. He really deserved the win !

Joe is an incredibly interesting person. I want to look at him, listen to him, be like him. Stop, he’s not a living person, it is the role. Or not?
Lee portrays Joe so incredibly convincing that you forget after a moment about an actor. It’s a great gift.

Lee Pace is an amazingly talented actor, very happy that he won. His fans are loyal, dedicated, strong and growing everyday. He deserved to win in case some don’t know not only is his work outstanding on AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire he’s been in some of the biggest movies for 2015.The Hobbit Battle of the Five Armies (he’s been in all 3 movies btw) he is King Thranduil, Legolas’s father and King of the Woodelves. Lee Pace also played RoNan The Accuser the Kree warlord villain in a little movie you might of heard of called Guardians of the Galaxy ! He was also the vampire Garrett in the Twilight movies and more so like I said his fan base is strong !!! He won because we fans worked hard voting FAIRLY to show our love for him :)

Yes sam is great. Lee is great but so important for our life by his performance. V r gatheted to vote . New audience may like somone so u vote. And lee performance catch our heart for long time till v have chance from cartermatt to show lee is great actor and human for our life. V love to see his work more. V patience and wait time to vote. Lee deserve this. Every comoetitor r great . But when there is winner. V should congratulation and be mature to accept. Army of lee r big. His works inspired us.

I am human, not computer .many armies vote often,not just lee fan till carter matt do not allow u vote too often . CARTERMATT PROUD TO ANNONCE LEE PACE AS WINNER .V love lee pace work soi keep back vote him when carter matt allow. V just love lee, fan from ig, tumblr , fb gather as patience to vote when cartermatf allow. yes counting vote from corrupt is disgusting. NOT THIS WIN. U should open. I like sam .if sam win i wont post disgust mind as u did.

I’m human too.It’s not nice at all accusing people without proofs.Sam won the poll in this site before,and nobody accused his fans as cheaters.I think the bogus and disgusting one is not computer voting bots you accused.

Oh so the fact that he is a Julliard graduate, has had recent starring roles in the “The Hobbit,”,”Guardians of the Galaxy,” and even was invited to star in an episode of the “The Mindy Project,” this year, along with getting the nod for a third season of “Halt and Catch Fire,” probably has nothing to do with his acting skills either LOL!

Lee pace do very great performance. Joe have various emotion and up and down, businesss man who have true heart for friends but somehow can disappointed u. So fun to watch this man. Lee can perform so all of that naturally and catch our heart .
