‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: On Charming’s twin, possible Elizabeth Mitchell return, more
While there may not be too much in the way of news breaking this Christmas Eve, the producers for “Once Upon a Time” were kind enough still to do a sit-down interview with Entertainment Weekly, one where they spilled a little bit of information in regards to a variety of things that could surface in the second half of the season.
Let’s start with what may be one of the most important teasers that we’ve seen: Just because someone is in the Underworld does not mean that they are evil. This does give the show opportunities to bring back a number of other former characters, and also explains why Captain Hook, who did the right thing in the end after becoming the Dark One, ended up there.
As for some returning characters, showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis made it clear that you would see Charming’s twin again in the second half of the season. It’s possible that you could see Lily once more, and in regards to Elizabeth Mitchell a.k.a. the Snow Queen, they would love to have her back at some point. Given that she was not a part of the “Frozen” world, we at least think that she is someone they could consider bringing back.
Horowitz also said the following for those worried about Emilie de Ravin’s short-term future on the show with the actress’ pregnancy and what Rumpelstiltskin encouraged her to do in the winter finale:
“She’s on the show. So if anyone is concerned that, because of the pregnancy, they’re not going to be seeing her, that’s not the case.”
