Is ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ episode 11 new tonight on FX?

AHSThe past couple of weeks have brought us more of the “revenge” saga on “American Horror Story: Hotel,” a series of twists and turns that led to the Countess presumably being under attack and in at least a little bit of danger.

So where do we go from here? For the time being, we come as the bearer of bad news: There is no new episode of the show airing on FX Wednesday night. With the Christmas holiday starting to loom, clearly the network thought that competing with traveling and other concerns was too big of an issue to them. This is a similar sort of move that they made with their episode the day before Thanksgiving, where they realized that it was not going to be worth the potential loss in viewers. When you consider that the show just went below a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic for the first time since the second season “Asylum,” it should become reasonably clear to you just how much the show needs every viewer it can right now.

As for when it will return, the final episodes of this season are going to air on January 6 and January 13. Given where we are right now in the story, there’s a lot that the show still needs to resolve with the Countess, John Lowe, and so many other important people in the story.

“American Horror Story” has already been renewed for a sixth season, so if nothing else you don’t have anything to worry about there.
