‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: Yolanda Foster responds to comments by Lisa Rinna, others
Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was ripe with controversy and confrontations, with one of the biggest moments coming when a conversation spearheaded by Lisa Rinna took place questioning whether or not Yolanda Foster really has Lyme disease as she believes. Obviously, this is something that Foster would take offense to, and while she and David are no longer together, even he spoke out in her defense this week.
In her new blog on Bravo following the episode, Yolanda herself went on the record about some of the gossip that she saw, and made it clear that her co-stars’ lack of awareness is one of their biggest issues:
“I do wonder though why these adult women sit around drinking wine in the afternoon debating another person’s health issues? As much as I wished they cared enough to learn and ask questions, I must blame it on and assume it’s “ignorance” … I don’t blame [Lisa] Rinna, Kyle [Richards], or [Lisa Vanderpump] – I understand it and feel sorry to see my battle be such a point of weakness for them. If I let fear of what others say about me creep into my mind, I probably would not be where I am today. 100 books later, and immersed in worldwide research that I never thought I could process has given me a masters in being fearless and the strength to battle this epidemic called Lyme disease – it’s the power of believing in myself that’s let me come this far.”
Foster now claims that she is working with some of the best doctors in the world to help to ensure that her disease is handled and minimized in the best way possible, and she wants to use the show as a true platform to help others rather than a mere tool for her to make more money.
