‘Outlander’ season 2: Costumes take center stage in latest ‘offerings’

As we start to approach the Christmas holiday, “Outlander” and Starz are not slowing down on their social-media teases. Today, the ones that we’ve got are all about the costumes!

If you look below, you can see a little bit more of the show’s interpretation on French fashion, and we don’t really know how you say that this is anything short of extraordinary. The designs are intricate and appropriate for the period, and the fabrics are bright and colorful. These two teases, especially the second one featuring Claire (Caitriona Balfe), are the perfect indication of just how much the aesthetic of the show is going to change upon the series moving away from Scotland for the second season. Fashion is far more important than ever before, and to go along with that, so is knowing what to say and when to say it. This is a more political world, but one where there is still the potential for violence around every turn.

Hopefully these teases will last the rest of the month, or maybe carry over into something substantial like a trailer reveal at some point in the new year. We’ve seen a brief teaser so far, but a solid minute or two of footage would help to make the remainder of this Droughtlander all the easier to handle!

As a reminder, there is no firm premiere date for “Outlander” season 2 just yet, but we anticipate it coming on the air at some point this spring.
