‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Can Leah Block plan a future with Ben Higgins?
Given that Leah Block is an event planner, maybe she has planned her fair share of cocktail parties over the course of the past few years. For the sake of “The Bachelor,” though, she is going to be taking on the challenge of having to attend many of these said events herself! This show is a strange, challenging environment, and we’re still not sure just how prepared she is for it.
If you look below at the latest chapter of our show spotlight series, we’ll at least do our best to discuss some of what we think Leah is for now bringing to the table for Ben Higgins.
Age – 25
Occupation – Event planner. Like we said, it’s gotta be weird for someone with this job to take part in all of these over-the-top, meticulously-planned events.
Location – Denver, Colorado. While the series seems to be selling Ben more as a guy from a small town Indiana, we know that he’s also spent plenty of time in Denver over the years. There could be a natural connection there.
Things to know – She really loves Christopher Nolan (she lists “Interstellar” and “The Dark Knight” as favorite movies) … and she apparently twerked in a dress during her interview for the show. Chris Harrison’s probably going to try to include that in the bloopers (if there is tape of it) during the Women Tell All later in the season.
Strengths – We’ve already mentioned the local connection, but how about friendliness? Leah just has a nice vibe of someone who’d be fairly easy to get along with, and someone who knows when to relax and when to be serious. We don’t get the immediate sense that she’s just on the show to be famous.
Problem areas – Twerking aside, is she memorable? We’re still having a hard time figuring that one out. There’s nothing in her bio that screams “contender,” and other than her job and a geographic similarity, there’s nothing that really gives her a conservation-starter with Ben.
Prediction – Leah lasts a few weeks, gets eliminated, and gets almost no airtime. There’s always a few of those every season.
