‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Ben Higgins buy into Lauren Barr?
So what makes Lauren Barr different from some of the others? She’s certainly well-traveled, has life experience, and that could make her someone worth watching for at least however long she’s there.
Age – 23
Occupation – Fashion buyer. This is the sort of job that can pay big dividends if you are a part of the industry for a long period of time.
Hometown –Stillwater, Oklahoma. As you would expect from that, she is an Oklahoma State alumni.
Things to know – She’s traveled everywhere from Germany to Nepal, was in a sorority in college, and loves rap music more than anything else.
Strengths – May of the women on this season are in the 23-27 range in terms of age, so we imagine that they’ll be a gregarious bunch. This Lauren should fit right in there. She’s used to being around large groups of women, and has enough dating history to be comfortable around Ben.
Problem areas – Is she interesting enough? We hate in some ways framing a question like this in fear of it sounding insulting, but the reality here is that Lauren is up against a wide array of other well-traveled young women that much of what makes her interesting is canceled out by some of the experiences of the other contestants.
Prediction – There’s nothing altogether glaring about Lauren Barr that would make her be sent home early. However, there’s nothing about her that suggests she’ll be a favorite. We don’t see her lasting longer than a few weeks.
