‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Teresa Giudice released from prison
Teresa Giudice will officially be home for the holidays.
According to a new report from ABC News, the star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” has been released from prison just in time to celebrate December 25 with her husband Joe and her four daughters. She has spent nearly a year in prison for bankruptcy fraud, serving the majority of her sentence in the process.
Unfortunately for the Giudice family, they are still far from being out of the woods. While they will have a few months that they can spend together outside of jail, Joe Giudice will be forced to begin a 41-month sentence in March stemming from his own role in the scandal. Given that he is not an American citizen, it is possible that he could face deportation at the end of the sentence. The judge specifically set up these sentences in such a way so that there would always be someone home with the children. It’s possible that Joe will not serve the full 41 months as Teresa didn’t serve her entire sentence, but we imagine that he will still be behind bars for a much larger period of time.
As for how much of Teresa’s release will be monitored by Bravo cameras, we imagine that a certain percentage of it will be at least. “The Real Housewives” franchise remains a huge moneymaker for the family, and they have to realize that public interest in the scandal makes this one of the most compelling storylines for viewers out there. The show has been by and large on hiatus since she went behind bars, with producers knowing that she is really the big sell.
