NBC’s ‘The Voice’: Assorted Jordan Smith highlights from this week!

You’ve more than likely had a few days now to start to settle down following the end of “The Voice” this season, so why not take a minute or two now to break down just what is happening in the world of Jordan Smith? The singer won the longtime favorite to win the season, and he made good on that Tuesday by taking home the title.

So what has he been up to since then? He’s stopped by a variety of different destinations, he performed live at Billboard, and he also appeared on “The Today Show.” We’ve got that video for you below, and it’s particularly fun in how he talks about how he was able to get redemption on the show this year after not making it through previously. He is far from the only artist in the history of the show to be turned away, and then return to find more success. It just goes to show that sometimes you need to be told “no,” since you can then go away and take a little bit of time working on trying to get better before coming back.

One other thing that we found interesting is a tweet from Republic Records hyping up Jordan as a part of the team in a big way. We do wonder whether or not this is a deliberate move on the part of the group to further show their support for him early, since Republic has come under fire by many fans and even Jordan’s coach Adam Levine for not doing much to help the artists from the show succeed. Ultimately, it probably won’t be until next year when we get some more news on Jordan’s future, but we’ll have updates as they come out!
