Miss Universe 2015: Start time, official live stream, and more

Miss Universe -2015 has certainly been a year of great publicity for the Miss Universe Pageant, though much of it was probably not welcome. The pageant originally faced boycotts in select countries over comments made by its owner in Donald Trump; not only that, but television deals were in jeopardy and there were a number of lawsuits flying around out there.

However, everything has since settled down. After purchasing the entirety of the pageant, Trump went and sold it to entertainment group WME/IMG, and now everything has settled down and the controversy is over. Not only that, but the event is now back on TV! There is an opportunity for viewers on Fox to watch the event live starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern time in America; check your local listings if you are in other countries.

For those who are located all around the world and want a convenient live stream in order to see the show, this is what the video below is all about! It’s an official live stream (none of that illegal stuff peddled around in articles trolling for web traffic) that will give you a unique sort of access to the pageant tonight.

While here in America it is pretty easy to minimize the pageant’s importance and be somewhat cynical about it, we don’t want to take away from the notion that this is extremely valuable to people in many other countries. To some out there, this stands as a symbol of hope and a chance to see their country shine on an international stage. We know that in particular, the pageant is insanely popular in some parts of Asia.

We’ll have more news on the pageant later tonight over at the link here, so stay tuned! Also, you can sign up right away to get some other TV news on everything we cover, sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Miss Universe.)
