‘Madam Secretary’ season 2 spoilers: Will there be answers (and quickly) on possible death?

The second season of “Madam Secretary” has escalated over the weeks with the Russia conflict, and during the winter finale on Sunday, everything that we feared could happen did. There was a sniper, an explosion, and the possibility that someone is important is no longer with us.

So who is said mystery person? Of course the show is not going to give you that bit of information now! However, they’re not going to make you wait too long at all to find out who may have been the target, and who is in grave danger. Speaking to TVLine, executive producer Barbara Hall confirms that answers will be coming your way quickly on what happened there, and from that point the show will start to piece things together a little bit.

The only thing that we are feeling pretty willing to proclaim at this point is that Elizabeth finds a way to get out of this alive, if for no other reason than that the show would be forced to change the name to “Some Other Secretary” otherwise. Nobody can have that!

In the end, the exciting thing to remember here is that there is a whole lot of time left this season to further explore all of the proper avenues of what happened with this moment, in addition to the rest of “Madam Secretary” as a whole. There is more than half the season remaining, and while the ratings are not necessarily a slam dunk, we’d say that they are good enough to merit a season 3 renewal.
