‘Girl Meets World’ season 2, episode 26: Looking beyond ‘Girl Meets STEM’

Girl Meets World -

Since we’re once again looking at a situation this weekend where there is no new episode of “Girl Meets World” airing on the Disney Channel, we figured for the sake of this article we’d spend more of our time looking ahead at the future for the show through the rest of season 2.

As we’ve reported previously, the next new episode (entitled “Girl Meets STEM”) is airing on January 8, and the story here revolves mostly around Riley trying to find a way to be more involved in the realm of science studies at John Quincy Adams after feeling somewhat neglected. This episode could be one of at least two episodes of the show airing this month. The official wiki claims that “Girl Meets Money” will air on January 22. What’s interesting about this episode is that it was actually filmed between parts 2 and 3 of “Girl Meets Texas,” but we’d be surprised if it references the story there at all.

Following this episode, there are three more still to air in season 2: “Girl Meets Commonism,” “Girl Meets Bay Window,” and “Girl Meets Legacy” (which is the finale, which is poised to be about graduating into high school). The last episode is the only one of the group that was filmed after “Girl Meets the New Year,” so it is probably the only one that will give you significant forward movement on the Riley / Lucas / Maya situation that has unfolded as of late.

In the end, the moral of this story is simple: Can’t the Disney Channel just air some of these episodes in the order that they were filmed? It’d make life so much easier for everyone.
