‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 12 preview: First look at ‘Core Values’
The seventh season of “NCIS: Los Angeles” came to a temporary halt on Monday night with a series of key reveals, beginning first and foremost with Kensi making it clear that Deeks didn’t even need to tell her the truth about what happened with his former partner and Tiffany; she had already figured it out for herself. They appear to be in good standing, but we’ll have some more news on that soon enough.
What we do have for you at the moment are some of the details about “Core Values,” the upcoming episode of the show airing on Monday, January 4. Based on the synopsis below, it looks like we’re going to see an undercover mission that could turn dangerous at the drop of a hat:
“The team goes undercover at a decommissioned nuclear power plant to investigate the radiation poisoning of a Gunnery Sergeant moonlighting as a security guard.”
While this certainly does sound intriguing, we do have to grit our teeth ever-so-slightly in frustration at the fact that CBS has not exactly announced a flurry of character-specific details about this episode just yet. Ultimately, it is rather hard to be excited about something when presented with this much limited information. We want to know at least something more than this so that we have something to look forward to. After watching this show for well over half a decade, many of the finer details do have a little bit of a tendency to blend together.
Hopefully, something more will come out over the holidays.

The publicity department frustrates me. They do not utilize social media, their YouTube, or press outlets to publicize the show. They are very inconsistent with getting sneak peeks out, they seem to rely on the cast for most of their twitter followers, and don’t post things on their main page or YouTube channel quickly or at all. I love the show, but since CBS moved it to Mondays, the ratings have dipped. Their +7 numbers are always up, but I’ll never understand the ratings system. I hope for a season 8 to wrap things up if that is the direction the network wants to take. They finally have some balance between the characters this year.
