‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Jami Letain represent Canada, win over Ben Higgins?
There have been many notable Canadian contestants of “The Bachelor.” Obviously Jillian Harris is a favorite for many, and even the reigning Bachelorette in Kaitlyn Bristowe hails from Vancouver.
Our latest contestant we’re discussing is the latest representative of the Great White North in Jami Letain, who seems to be an adventurous hockey fan with aspirations to do a lot of different things. We really don’t know a lot about her personally just yet, but she is someone worth watching on the show just for the sake of her having so much apparent enthusiasm.
Age – 23
Occupation – Bartender. Next to Amber James, she is the second bartender we’ve profiled so far.
Hometown – St. Albert, Alberta. This is a city located near Edmonton, which has us wondering whether or not Jami is from the northernmost community out of any “Bachelor” contestant ever on this show.
Things to know – Judging from photos online she’s a huge Edmonton Oilers fan, loves to have a good time, and is a frequent user of social media. If she lasts long enough on the show, we could imagine her being one of the more prolific contestants in that venue. In terms of personal details, there aren’t too many things known.
Strengths – We feel like Jamie’s the sort of person who will be excited to be there, and shares at least some passions with Ben: Travel, and the desire to treat life like it is a part of some great adventure. We also imagine that her job will make it easier for her to communicate with strangers.
Problem areas – In reading her bio, we almost get the vibe from Jami that she views this show as a fun experience just as much as she does an opportunity to find love. We’re not sure if she will allow herself to be that vulnerable, and we’re also not entirely sure that she is ready to settle down into married life just yet. Given that Ben Higgins is young for a “Bachelor” lead, maybe he will be willing to wait for a while to have more of a settled life. He may need to here.
Prediction – It’s always nice to see more Canadians on reality TV, but we don’t get anything from Jami online that suggests that she is all-in on meeting Ben and starting a life with him. We could see her as a “Bachelor in Paradise” contestant if she makes it far, but we don’t see her making it to hometown dates.
