‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 13 spoilers: ‘White Out’ sends team to Antarctica

If nothing else, you have to give the “Scorpion” production team a little bit of credit right now for continuing to send the team to some challenging / surprising places. Specifically, think along the lines of a very cold spot in Antarctica.

Today, CBS unveiled some of their first details about their January 4 episode “White Out,” and it may be one of the most dangerous missions that the team has been on yet. Also, Happy and Toby are going to be put to the test like never before following the events of the mideseason finale. The synopsis below reveals much more:

“In order to save a United States Special Forces unit from certain death, Team Scorpion must brave the subzero temperatures of Antarctica. Also, when Happy becomes cut off from the team and lost in a blizzard, Toby risks his life to find her.”

Of course, the show is not actually going to the world’s coldest continent to film this episode, given that they would spend their entire season’s budget on just one episode if they did. However, they are going to be doing some cool (and impressive) camera tricks to try and replicate the barren landscape of the area. Even though this show is filmed in the Los Angeles area, the photo above certainly looks and feels authentic.
